A spur of the moment macro using my 400mm from about 20 feet away! Hey, the whole bugs in focus! 





Here is a picture of a Yellow Crowned Night Heron that I took in Florida. Interesting to see the difference!



Our heron friend chills in a Weeping willow just before getting the boot from the Red-winged blackbird.




The 400mm, set at f11, doesn't blur the back ground focus making it tough to see the dragon-fly just like it normally does in nature.




                                     There's those harsh shadows cast from the mid-day sun.
