CatTV

It was a bitterly cold weekend here at the Pine River with temperatures crashing to below zero temperatures night after night. Suzanne and Chazz the cat were in town visiting. Suz likes to cross country ski, the weather was perfect for that, and Chazz likes the CatTV. What's CatTV? Chazz sits on the back of the couch staring out the picture window while the neighborhood birds crowd the trees and feeders in the front yard and drive the poor city cat into orgasmic fits. So for your entertainment here are some of the stars from this weekend's CatTV!

  1. What a lucky cat! I'd be wanting to watch that show from inside on the sofa too. Beautiful bird pictures.

  2. Funny post! Here in Dallas we have "Scottie TV" where Rumpus our Scottish Terrier does much the same during the terrible hot days of summer! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Excellent close ups of the garden visitors.
    I love that second one.

  4. Yes, I remember those days when our cat was alive. I can see why the cat likes to watch out your window with such a nice gathering of birds there.

  5. CatTV is my favorite channel! When I hear a bird, can't identify it's song, and can't find it through my 'nockies, I know what it feels like to be a cat doing that funny chattering at the window at the birds. Lovely post.

  6. Super Close ups of the Cat TV--looks like HD to me! My Dog Annie sits at the glass door and watches the birds and squirrels as they feed in the back yard, if a squirrel stays in one spot too long she sprints out the doggie door and gives chase...thank goodness the squirrels are FASTER than her.

  7. Beautiful shots!! It's been -41 here(same F or C). Boom & I have been out; so no fair that you're staying inside. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon.

  8. Hi everyone,
It seems we all share a love of CatTV! I tried to clean the CatTV screen yesterday and the spray I used froze on the window instantly. Man did I have to rub to get that stuff off but yes, now my CatTV is in HD. The clean glass caused an increase in bird collisions so some fine tuning was necessary.

  9. Causing cats to salivate worldwide.... I had to get a mop to clean up after out two felines when they were done looking at this, and tearing my screen to shreds... am going to have to put a protective grill on the darn thing if you are going to keep posting posts like that !
    :-)

  10. Mr. Owen,
If you are going to live with members of Kittycat Nation it would be prudent to limit their and your CatTV to a resonable time limit, perhaps an hour, and then only after chores are done.

  11. Beautiful images, Springman. I just love the profile of the Downy with its bristly "beard". The cat has the best spot of the day though, all snug and warm on the sofa watching the grand show outside.

  13. The beauty of these birds and shots is unquestionable but the composition with the cat is brilliant!
